About the Conference

The 13th Biennial Conference of the Kogwis (Knowledge Organization for Information Systems) will be held in Bremen, Germany, from September 26-30, 2024. The conference will bring together researchers, practitioners, and students from around the world to discuss the latest advances in knowledge organization.

The conference theme is "Knowledge Organization in the Digital Age." This theme reflects the increasing importance of knowledge organization in the digital age, where vast amounts of information are available online. Knowledge organization helps us to make sense of this information and find the resources that we need.

The conference will feature a variety of keynote speakers, paper presentations, and workshops. The keynote speakers will include leading experts in knowledge organization from around the world. The paper presentations will cover a wide range of topics, including:

Call for Papers

The Kogwis 2024 conference invites submissions of full papers, short papers, and posters. Full papers should be no more than 8 pages in length, short papers should be no more than 4 pages in length, and posters should be no more than 2 pages in length. All submissions must be original and not previously published.

The deadline for submission is March 15, 2024.

Registration

Registration for the Kogwis 2024 conference will open in May 2024. The registration fee will include access to all conference sessions, workshops, and social events.

Accommodation

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Maritim Hotel Bremen for conference attendees. The hotel is located in the city center, close to the conference venue. To book a room, please contact the hotel directly and mention the Kogwis 2024 conference.

Transportation

Bremen is easily accessible by air, train, and car. The Bremen Airport (BRE) is located about 10 kilometers from the city center. The city is also served by a number of train lines, including the high-speed ICE train.
