Here's a sneak peek inside Ten Gallon Bart Beats the Heat:

Ten Gallon Bart woke up to the sound of birds chirping and the sun shining brightly through his window. He knew it was going to be a hot day, but he didn't care. He was ready for some summer fun!

Bart got dressed and went downstairs to the kitchen. His mom was making breakfast, and the smell of bacon filled the air. Bart's stomach growled with hunger.

"Good morning, Mom!" Bart said. "What's for breakfast?"

"Bacon and eggs," his mom said. "And pancakes, if you're hungry."

"I'm starving!" Bart said. He sat down at the table and started eating.

After breakfast, Bart went outside to play. He ran around in the backyard, pretending to be a cowboy. He jumped over fences and rode his horse, Dusty, all over the place.

But it was getting hotter and hotter outside. Bart was starting to sweat.

"I'm getting too hot," Bart said. "I need to find something to cool down."

Bart went inside the house and got a glass of water. He drank it all down in one gulp.

"That was refreshing," Bart said. "But I'm still hot."

Bart opened the refrigerator and looked inside. He saw a gallon of ice cream. He took it out of the freezer and got a spoon.

"This is just what I need," Bart said. He took a big bite of ice cream.

Bart ate the whole gallon of ice cream. He felt much cooler after that.

"I'm all cooled down now," Bart said. "Time to go back outside and play!"

Bart went back outside and played for the rest of the day. He had a lot of fun, but he was careful not to get too hot again.

When it was time to go to bed, Bart was exhausted. He fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.

Ten Gallon Bart Beats the Heat is a fun and exciting summer read for young readers. It's full of action, adventure, and humor, and it's sure to keep kids entertained from beginning to end.
